I care about men’s mental health because many either ignore or misunderstand it. I have influenced my own decisions by doing research and knowing how it feels, how to struggle mentally and not being able to express it in healthy ways. The other side mostly says it is man’s fault for not expressing their emotions, yet it is not easy for them with social norms and being afraid and having these feelings repressed for so long it becomes almost impossible to be able to talk about it. I can see how they get that idea and how they make the idea of talking so easy when it is easier said than done because many do not want to see as vulnerable and how they choose to struggle. My artwork isn’t to offend but to spread awareness and for people to understand the problems they face and how tough it is for them. I feel like the artist does have the right to offend as that is what makes very interesting art if done correctly.
